Hello,
I am a foreigner with a moderate Deutsch, that is why I write in English :)
Background: I am a male, 28 years old, study in Germany since 2.5 years, and almost every semester I move out to a German city for doing the Praktikum or Masterarbeit, plus I had very few free time because of mini-job too, "did NOT have any previous relationship" (i.e. virgin in that field). Since about a year I feel very lonely & I would like to have a relationship. Therefore, I did read many articles in English & German that suggest the same stuff about where & how to meet single ladies, such as:
http://www.gofeminin.de/liebe/kennenlernen-d23073.html
However, I find they are unrealistic; may be because I am shy, or because of it is irregular at my home country, or because I am totally new to the relationships.
To be more explicit, here are my thoughts:
1- Supermarkt: almost no young ladies. Even if there are; they are shopping with/for boyfriend/family or she wants just to buy her stuff. So, it would be like I am chasing her & being noisy.
2- In street: of course she would not have the time. Otherwise, she might have a partner! .. even if not, the environment is not comfortable at all for both of us.
3- In Bar: some people do not recommend it for a long term relationship (which I would like). However, I tried twice to go to bars & disco (even I am not a dancer + do not drink Alcohol :), the results were unpleasant. The girls are there with their friends & boyfriends for drinking & dancing, i.e. if there is a single lady, then she is within a group of her girlfriends. So, there is no chance to approach her!
4- Cafe or regular bar: the problem here is that I am shy, i.e. I don't know & dare, should I go to her & say "Hi, may I join! my name is xyz" & that's it?? .. will she accept joining her & have a conversation? & what afterwords??
5- By friends: that's tough for me, because each of my friends is in a different far city, & still making new relationships & the new office.
6- Internet websites: Even though I should be classified as a programmer, I had a bad experience in that field: I tried the free websites but they did not work. While the non-free websites are costly for me. Which takes me to the next point :)
7- Hobby, course (German, Dance, etc.): right now I am tight on fun, that means I would not be able to join such an activity for a while. However, for reference; I tried to join a German course in Darmstadt -> the very few ladies that attended were married or much older :) also, I tried to join a tennis course -> all the girls were very young (e.g. 12 years), or very old (e.g. 50years old) :)
So, my questions are:
*DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE?
*DO YOU THINK THAT I AM COMPLICATING?
*
-Ladies comments, suggestions, objects & opinions are EXTREMELY welcomed-
Thank you very much.
